Frequently asked questions
- How do I install a section in my theme?
- Open Visual Block, pick a section, then click "Add to theme". The section is written to the chosen theme. In the theme editor, use Add section and look for names starting with "VB -".
- My installed section doesn't appear in the theme editor — why?
- After installation, open Online Store → Themes → Customize, then Add section. Look for the VB - name in the sections list (not under Apps). Refresh the editor if it does not appear, and confirm the install succeeded. Enable the VisualBlock Assets app embed so section styles and scripts load.
- Can I install the same section on multiple themes?
- Installation writes files to the selected theme only. For another theme, select it (or reinstall from the app targeting that theme) then add the section in its editor.
- How do I uninstall a section?
- In My sections (or on a section detail), click Remove and choose the theme. Files are removed from that theme only. If you bought the section or are on Pro / trial, you keep access and can add it again anytime. Also remove the section from the page in the theme editor if it is still placed.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes — on Pro only. Start Visual Block Pro ($24/month) and approve the charge in Shopify to get a 30-day free trial with the full catalog. Buying a single section for $9 is pay-now (one-time, no trial).
- What is the Pro plan?
- Pro at $24/month unlocks every section in the catalog, including new ones, with a 30-day free trial when you approve the subscription in Shopify. Alternatively, buy any section for $9 (one-time, no trial).
- How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
- Open Plan & billing in Visual Block and click Cancel subscription, or manage the charge in Shopify (Settings → Apps → Visual Block). When cancelled, you return to Free: Pro/trial sections are removed from your themes; sections you bought for $9 stay yours. You can start Pro again anytime.
- Are sections compatible with all Shopify themes?
- Our sections are built to Shopify standards and work with OS 2.0 themes (Online Store 2.0). They may not work on older themes that don't use the sections architecture.
